kdebase-bin software package provides Transitional package for new kde-baseapps, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kdebase-bin
kdebase-bin is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kdebase-bin package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kdebase-bin *
You will get with kdebase-bin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
